Roles and Responsibilities

The Assistant Production Manager / Translator / Interpreter will be translating documents and chat contents between staff members and the studios of the company located in Japan. Chat is the main communication method and its contents must be translated from Japanese to English (French) and vice-versa. Technical terminology of the video game industry is commonly used.

In addition to translation tasks, the Assistant Production Manager will assist the Studio Manager in various administration tasks such as welcoming guests, managing the studio’s staff members as well as the recruiting process.

Responsibilities:

-Translation from Japanese to English (French) and vice-versa of written documents, chats, e-mails, etc.
-Interpretation from Japanese to English and vice-versa during meetings, interviews, events, seminars, etc.
-Assistance of the Studio Manager (managing the studio’s staff members, dealing with the recruiting processes, etc.)
-Other administrative tasks.

Skills and Requirements

-Native fluency in English or French
-Business level in Japanese
-Strong interest in Video game / Anime / Manga industries

CyberConnect2 Montreal is a Japanese game developing company. We have created console games for over 20 years, our most famous ones being Asura's Wrath, the NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja series and the .hack series. Our games created with the unique Japanese sense of style are highly praised around the world.

We have also released smartphone games and a Full CG Animation film. First established in 1996 in Fukuoka, Japan and opening another studio in Tokyo in 2010, Cyberconnect2 has become a company with over 230 creators.

In 2017, we opened our studio in Montreal. Here we will be working on the same project along side our studios in Japan. In total we are looking to have around 50 members at this studio.
