Roles and Responsibilities

TandemLaunch is a unique Canadian start-up studio. We create cutting-edge technology companies based on research taken straight from major university labs. We focus on commercializing innovations in consumer electronics, hardware-enabled technologies, machine learning, and embedded systems, and operate all portfolio companies on-site in our Montréal, Canada workspace.

We invite engineers and scientists interested in starting their own technology startup to come work with us for 18 months. During that time we help them secure proprietary university inventions/IP, invest $600k into their company, help them build out a team, build a prototype, and raise $1-5M in venture capital financing to become an independent company. They then become a manager (and co-owner) of this new independent startup.

85% of our companies have successfully raised outside venture capital with an average raise of $2.5M.
